A back shell made out of carbon fiber-reinforced nylon, capable of withstanding continuous heat exceeding 300*F (150*C). Good enough to shrink a heat molded boot or a piece of 4:1 heat shrink, as well as resistant enough to live in an engine compartment.

We created these back shells with the main goal of simplifying our stock-keeping, and have gathered interest to release them to the public as an inexpensive way to reduce the amount of connector variants needed to be kept in stock for wiring harness fabricators and manufacturers.

They are similar to the E007 variants of the connectors and will fit over black housing connectors, deutsch-brand and amphenol-brand connectors alike.

They are compatible with rubber boots sold by ProWireUSA.

If you find it tedious to stock the standard DTM and the E007 variant DTM connector housing because you have a need for both, this back shell will allow you to ditch keeping the E007 variant in stock, and it is actually more affordable to do so as the back shell + standard connector will be a similar cost in lower quantities or even more affordable in larger quantities.
